    I had previously worked with two of the owners at another dealership.  They have the same philosophy towards sales and customer satisfaction that I do.  When the position of used car manager became available, it was a perfect fit.

    Our people really do make the difference.  Our entire staff knows that we need the customers, they don't need us.  With that thought in mind, we will bend over backwards to make sure we fill all the customer's needs; whenever possible.

    Unlike most dealers who purchase cars only from local auctions, we here at Center Dodge Chrysler Jeep purchase vehicles nationwide.  Simply put, we buy for less so we can sell for less.  Whether it is a truckload of Dodge Calibers from Arizona, or the one certain Chrysler 300 from Texas, we are constantly looking for the best deals for our customers.  If you are looking for an '07 or '08 model Dodge, GM, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, etc., you can practically "factory order" your used car or truck at Center Dodge Chrysler Jeep.

    My interests are my children; Chad, 23; and Heather, 21; and my 14 mo. old granddaughter Sophia.  My hobbies include autograph collecting and no limit Texas Hold'em.

    Why did you come to Center Garage?
        I came because it's a family run company where you're treated like you're part of the family, and also where I can grow with this company.

    What makes Center Garage different?
        Center is different because of the way we treat customers.  They are the most important part of the way a business exists and grows.
        I know I will treat customers the way they should be treated:  with respect, and also to take care of them after the sale.  With over 16 years in the business, I have the experience to be a big help.
        In my off time I spend a lot of it in Grand Rapids, MI with my parents and sisters.  I also love Chicago sports:  baseball, football, and basketball.  I also love going to vintage car shows and going to Chicago to visit my brother.

    Why did you come to Center Garage, and what makes it different?
    I came to Center Garage after being laid off for the second time from the mill.  A close friend advised me that it was time to start a new career; that friend was Mark Fentress.  I met his partners Leroy Scott and John Schutz and realized that this would be a great place to start my new career.  The people I work with every day and their concept of "treat you as family" and their determination to make Center Garage a success really makes the business different than the others.

    What do you offer customers that can't be found anywhere else?
    My honesty and my personal goal of getting every one of my customers the best deal possible.  My word is my bond!

    Hobbies/Interests:
    I enjoy spending time with family and friends.  I also enjoy hunting, football, and sports of all kinds.  I have been very involved with our community of Highland for many years, in fundraising and gneeral participation of main events.  Now that I live in Cedar Lake my wife and I hope to become involved here also.

    My story begins back in 1999 when I was hired in as a porter.  I cleaned cars for a year and was offered an opportunity in the sales department selling new and pre-driven vehicles.  The main reason I came to Center Garage was for the fact that my friend worked there and always said how much he liked working for the Schutz family.

    Center Garage is a phenomel place to work as well as do business.  The building dates back to the early 1900s when it was purchased from a blacksmith.  Center Garage took on its name in 1925 when the Schutz family turned it into a dealership.  We still have the original anvil from the old blacksmith shop on display in the building as a piece of timeless history.  I believe this makes it different than any other dealership for the simple fact that it has history and is still family owned and operated to this day.  We believe in team work and turning customers into long time friends.

    I strive to take care of my customers before and after the sale.  I believe a happy customer will always come back and see you for their next puchase.  I just want to say thank you to all of my loyal customers whom have taken care of me over the years, and for letting me take care of you and your families. 

    Most of my time off is spent with my son and fiance, fishing, playing and cooking out on the grill.  We also enjoy car shows and amusement parks.

    I came to Center Garage because I was looking for more growth and challenge in my career.  It's different here because unlike the stereotype of a car dealership that everyone hears, we actually do treat our customers like a family member.   I think sometimes that surprises the people who are coming here for the first time.

    That being said, I think that really sets us apart from everyone else.  I've heard a lot of people promise excellent customer service, but fall short, especially after the sale.  I can honestly say that those things don't happen here.

    In my spare time I enjoy fishing, shopping, and going to college.  Also, going to the spa, pedicures, and manicures!  I also like football; the Bears, of course!

    I worked with the two newer owners previously at another dealership and their attitudes towards their employees is simply outstanding.  When I moved here to Cedar Lake, I couldn't pass up an opportunity to work with them again.  Center Garage is much different than other places in that we've got a very low pressure atmosphere. 

    In my spare time I like to write music and play guitar, and building and rebuilding autos.  I currently have a 1964 Ford Econoline Custom that I've been rebuilding for 7 years, almost there!  I also like exercising and working out to better my physical condition.
